At Toastmasterelite we have a strict code of conduct which is set out below :

 

1 The Toastmaster will ensure that he is properly prepared for your wedding. He will ensure that he fully understands your requirements and wishes.

 

2 The Toastmaster will arrive at the venue in sufficient time to get changed and to meet and liaise with all relevant people prior to the commencement of the formalities.

 

3 The Toastmaster will be immaculately turned out in his ceremonial attire.

 

4 The Toastmaster will be polite and courteous at all times.

 

5 The Toastmaster will be diplomatic when organising guests, dealing with hotel staff and suppliers on your behalf.

 

6 The Toastmaster will not drink alcohol prior to or during the formalities except when performing a toast.

 

7 The Toastmaster will guide the bridal party through the day and will be close by to assist the bride and groom as required.

 

8 The Toastmaster will do everything possible to make sure that the plans made by the bride and groom are adhered to.

 

9 The Toastmaster will be available to advise on wedding etiquette, to make suggestions or to advise on any aspect of the wedding reception.

 

10 The Toastmaster will do everything he can to make sure that the bride and groom have a wonderful day.

 

 

There is no doubt that you will want your wedding day to be the happiest day of your life. You will have lots of ideas about how want everything to be. You will be considering every aspect of the day in detail. You will be making arrangements for your wedding reception, meeting the photographer, ordering flowers, booking the band, choosing your cake, deciding who to invite, the list seems endless. There is a massive amount of planning and preparation for both the wedding ceremony and the wedding reception. You have high expectations and there is an awful lot to think about. When the big day finally arrives you need to be able to relax with your family and friends and enjoy every moment. Your personal Toastmaster Ron Wood will be there to guide you through the proceedings, ensuring that everything is just as you want it to be. Your Toastmaster will help you ( and your wedding guests ) in many ways. From the moment you decide to engage his services he will be available to offer advice and answer questions on wedding etiquette. You can consult him  about your wedding reception and discuss with him your ideas. Ron will be delighted to help. About a week before the big day Ron will want to go through everything with you to ensure that he fully understands  your expectations. Once you have briefed him you can relax knowing that he will be working hard on the day to ensure that everything is just as you want it to be.

 

Before any of the formalities begin Ron will be at the venue in plenty of time to familiarise himself with the layout, carry out any checks on your behalf and to meet all of the key people. Ron especially likes to meet the Groom and the Best Man to quickly run over the programme and to agree with them how various stages will happen.

 

As your Toastmaster, Ron will be waiting to greet your guests and direct them to the reception area. He will be liasing with the hotel management, photographer, videographer, musicians, entertainers, bridal party and guests to make sure that events are on time and in the correct sequence. Ron will let the guests know where to put presents and cards and when when to make their way to dinner. He will organise the receiving line , announce the guests if required and cue the music before announcing the entrance of the bride and groom to the banqueting suite. Ron will make sure that everyone feels welcome and is properly looked after. He will say grace if you would like him to, organise the circulation of the guest book, gain silence for and introduce the speakers and organise the cake cutting ceremony. If the room is to be cleared, Ron can lead out the bridal party and the guests whilst the room is reset. These are the normal duties of a toastmaster, but Ron will also be on hand to deal with anything else that needs to be done from giving directions to the cloakroom, tying a bow tie, sowing on a button, holding the flowers, sorting out a microphone etc etc. If there’s a problem Ron is there to help.
